Afternoon all :)

This question is directed to the UK members of this site - I have been to all our local VW Showrooms and cant lay my hands on an Eos 140 TDI untill October this year!!!

I cant wait that long:(

Does anyone have any ideas or expereince with any trustworthy companies out there that may be able to help?

I have just placed an order for a TDI Sport DSG and the expected delivery is June. I bought my car through UK New Cars who referred me to a dealer in Dartford.

Most of the dealers I have spoken to have been talking about a June/July delivery - Apparently the dealers are each given an allocated number of Eos that they can order. I suspect a lot of them have been ordering cars for resale as there are a lot of ex demo cars on the market. Not sure what to suggest, try UK new Cars or shop around a bit more?

Dealers have to keep a 'demo' for 3 months before selling. Go to the VWUK site and scan the used cars section. I wonder if any could let you 'try' one before its 3 months is up?

I don't know what sort of spec and options you're after but there's one showing up on allapproved cars at stafford vw with very low miles. Haven't looked into whether the price is reasonable but may be worth you investigating to save the waiting. (Oh and I don't work for either of the above mentioned companies and don't know whether they are any good - just giving you a pointer in their direction :)).

I went to local VW dealer on 25th January, ordered an EOS 140 TDI in Silver, no extras apart from the paint and a wind deflector, they are telling me that I should have it on the first of March. They were apologetic about not being able to offer me any discount!
Sounds like you need to find a better dealer.

Ordered ours in Southampton, England on 27 Jan 07, advised it will be built around 19 March and delivery expected 10 April. So, not too long to wait, but it still seems that way!

TDi sport in midnight blue, cornsilk beige nappa leather, cruise, wind deflector and westwood wheels.

Slightly concerned about the interior in case there is too much black and not enough beige (the dash is black) mixed with the cornsilk colouring. The brochure pictures are pretty hopeless, so you have to have a good imagination. Anybody seen one? How does it look? Starting to wonder if we've done the right thing ordering it at all, seeing those comments about water leaks and creaking roofs. Reassurance someone - please! :confused:

Sounds a great colour combination. Post pics when you get it! There's a black Eos at my Dealer with cornsilk beige leather and it looks terrific.

I got my Eos on launch date (14/07/06) and have had no major problems (a few niggles with boot re-locking itself before I got the chance to lift the lid but that's all).

No leaks etc.

Driving it is always an even I look forward to even if it's to work! If you're half as happy with yours as I am with mine you'll be delighted with it!
