: pics of lowered Eos?
Anyone seen any pictures yet of a lowered Eos? I'm thinking there may not be too many parts out for them yet even though they are similar to the Passat. I'm guessing the underpinnings are close to the same but beefier for the added weight.
Andrew 12-16-2006, 01:06 AM I have not, if you come across any please post them. Welcome to the site.

I'm sorry to say, but thats just plain wrong... on so many levels.
bugger 12-04-2007, 10:12 PM looks like aa couple of inches lower. glad it isnt on air bags.
SiJ2000 12-05-2007, 06:58 AM Hmmmm, You sure they aren't just 20" wheels! LOL
Just kidding....
cb391 12-06-2007, 03:10 AM All you need is a set of aftermarket spring/strut assemblies. I can say I don't like the lowered look in this case but have seen other lowered Eos that aftually look pretty nice. My main concern is lowering the car makes it more susceptible to damaging the underside of the nose of the car on bumps and curbs or going from an angled to a flat surface such as parking lot ramps or inclined driveways.

Plus it makes for a bit of a bumpy ride...

I have my Eos lowered 15mm and it's not the same as this eos on the picture.
This one is lowered much more than 15mm:eek:
cb391 02-15-2008, 05:20 PM It more than likely has an aftermarket spring kit to lower the car beyond the 15mm VW uses in Europe. The wheels are probably 19 or 20 inch. Here in the US we were never given the 15mm from VW.

That is one very clean car.

i checked that site but no info on the car specs, any good guess out there?
sambyanis 08-01-2009, 12:07 PM I have seen and it looks quite good.
I was hoping to contribute to this thread soon but turns out the shocks I wanted are at least 2 months away :-(
I've ordered H&R springs and Koni FSDs - hope to get some pics on this thread soon!
Fatmir 05-11-2010, 01:51 PM will put photos of my eos up soon :) just bought springs that will give my eos a 1.6 inch drop all round.

that's how we roll in NJ!
GTiceman 05-16-2010, 09:14 PM Did anyone notice a difference in the fact that eibach makes springs specific for dsg applications while h&r doesn't I am looking at springs but worry about problems if I go h&r
I don't think h&r would be a problem upon further research but dealing with Philly and SJ roads and the fact I will be on stock struts I think Eibach will be the way to go right now
I think eibach would work well for you. I find our car is underdamped so I can't wait for the FSDs to get here. They're leaving US first week of June and I have been waiting since March!
The difference between a DSG and manual gearbox in weight is less than the difference between an average guy and a fat guy
GTiceman 05-17-2010, 01:02 AM Right I was just trying to determine why eibach makes two kits. Yea my suspension may be a gradual build depending on when I buy my next car so that is why I am staying conservative, plus the FWD is an issue for me, prefer RWD. You will hafta post to let us know how the FSD's are as I am curious.
I'm going against what most people are telling me, that I'm going for a greater drop with H&R than the eibach with the FSDs. Because the wifey said to do so (it's her car)
will keep you posted!
GTiceman 05-18-2010, 03:06 AM H&R is fine if you put in the FSD's it should be at least
Darkknight 06-14-2010, 02:50 AM Anyone know the stats on the black Eos?? What kind of suspension..... thx
soundsfast 08-23-2010, 12:28 AM Here is a pic of my wife's 09 lowered with H&R springs and 19" VMR wheels. http://www.flickr.com/photos/53248167@N03/4916947558/#/photos/53248167@N03/4916947558/lightbox/
Bernie 10-18-2010, 03:19 AM Lowering the front is easy. Just have the springs reset (Mine: - 25 mm)
The rear is MUCH more complicated. The standard rear camber is -1.6 degrees. When you try to lower the rear this blows out to in excess of 2 degrees (great for track but too much for the road).
I wanted to lower the rear further than the front to get that "bum in the air" look out of it.
I had custom rear springs made up that lowered the rear 40 mm. I then had to shorten most of the lateral links to
a) bring the camber to an acceptable number
b) reduce the track so I could get 8.5" wheels & 255/35/19 tyres under the guards.
Not easy or cheap, but the finished job was worth it
