What spec (and avalable options) is the Eos for the Hong Kong market?

Ahhh beautiful White. A very underrated colour if their ever was one. Practical, functional, attractive and always good value when it comes to resale. Needless to say mine is candy white.............. a mirror image of the graphic above. Nice choice. Happy motoring !!!

Compared to Black.
Black gets grubby very quickly and shows the dust etc
White does look good, The New Black.

hi Danny, you can find the HK spec sheet here, only one choice for 2008 model year. http://www.vwasia.com/publish/vwasia/hong_kong/en/models/eos.html

unlike the BMW E93, where you can choose any colour leather seats, the VW EOS is only avaiable in black, grey and red leather

It is very similar to the Australian spec with leather. Although we don't get the hill assist but no doubt that would be a very useful feature in Hong Kong. What does an Eos in Hong Kong set you back in $HK. In Australia, mine with the Nappa Leather set me back 57K AUD Drive Away, that includes GST, State Govt Stamp Duty, some luxury tax component, registration and insurance etc.

price in Hong Kong is HKD399,000 (USD51,000) for 2.0T with DSG. This is the only version available. Insurance and annual registration is USD1,600 per year.

A pic of your car in Nathan Road taken at night time would be spectacular or with the Opera House and harbour as a backdrop!

I was actually meaning the Opera House in Hong Kong with the Hong Kong harbour as the background. But a night shot taken in Nathan Street , Kowloon would be spectacular. especially with a white Eos. Might be a bit hard though will all the traffic. Sydeny is very nice but Hong Kong is absolutely spectacular.

While since I was in HK so don't know if you still can, but what about the car park up by the Peak Railway for a good shot with spectacular backdrop?

When I went to Hong Kong, on a beautiful warm sunny morning everyone was heading off to work carry umbrellas. I thought to my self "how British". I couldn't understand the reason for so many people to carry umbrellas though. That afternoon it became apparent. The 4 PM torrential downpour had us soaked to the bone, except for the umbrella carry locals. I look forward to some more of your photos though. Hong Kong is a photographic paradise!

I must admit the standard of photos on this forum are improving. I have a white "you-know-what" and it was a great choice. The photos above are just great especially the one taken above the cabin whilst in motion. They would do any motoring magazine proud.

Here is my White Eos at the Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve in the Flint Hills of Kansas, USA. http://www.nps.gov/tapr/

Tallgrass prairie once covered 140 million acres of North America. Less than 4 % remains, mostly in the Flint Hills of Kansas. On November 12, 1996, legislation created the 10,894 acre preserve, which protects a nationally significant example of the once vast tallgrass prairie ecosystem, while containing a unique collection of natural and cultural features from the American Indian to present.

Aloha SuperJohn,

My car is white also. I think it looks the best in white. Crisp lines, and makes the car look more musclar than it is. Really gives it an understated classy presents.
Everyone always stops and asks me, what kind of car is it? I tell them a VW, and they thought it was an Audi. I think it is better looking than the A4, or the new A3 Convertible.
I would like to see it with chrome plated Lemans wheels.

Enjoy,
Lopaka:D
