I suspect I have bored you all since Jan.with my wait to pick up my Eos scheduled for 1st March........so why change now!
Last Tuesday, as the due delivery day grew nearer, VW 'phoned to say that there was a leak in my boot area (trunk, to our US cousins) & that there may well be a delay in 'releasing' the car to me! As you will imagine we did a dance with expressions such as 'I don't believe it, you have had the car for a month' & 'Its been ordered since Oct.' & 'what about the pre delivery QA' & 'but, I have paid you in full last week!'.
None of this helped to speed up delivery. After several 'phone calls to VW to monitor progress the fault was diagnosed and the boot re-aligned (!?) & I took delivery on Friday the 2nd, only a day late and on my Birthday. [I have yet to drive it in the rain to see if the problem is indeed fixed].
On the plus side, we were given a silver demo Eos from the Weds. with a full tank of petrol and told to 'go and use it', so we did and toured The Lakes and North Yorks, 350 miles in all (I call this my 1st Eos). This had the beneficial effect of allowing us to get used to the car without the attendant risks!
We picked up our Eos (Leonnie blue 2.0 TFSi, black leather, Westwood wheels, bespoke luggage and wind breaker, full tank of petrol) on Friday pm and I'm delighted with the colour and car - it was well worth the wait and the delay!
Sorry about the length of this saga but I had to get it off my chest, & it has taken 4 days to do it!
Regards,

ps: the sales rep, Roger Stansfield, said that he had the same problem with another Eos due for delivery on 1st March - was that you, Porker?
