Haha dammit I miss out by 3 years there! Insurance is a nightmare until you turn 25, but to be honest I only pay just over £400 now so I'm happy with that. You have a lot to look forward to in 3 yrs time!!! :D

My wife's Porsche Cayene Turbo S, she is 43. She is the registered keeper, im the named driver, its £2950, which isnt bad for a £96k car with 24" Gemballa alloys and a tubi exhaust(my mods not the wife's) lol

I had to go for diesel last night i had 5 miles on my counter, the petrol station is about 1 mile away i was in the middle of town about 1/2 a mile away and my counter went to 0 i pooped myself but luckily snobbers was a good boy and got me to the petrol station. but get this...

I went to shell on thursday i put in £30.01 i already had 70 miles in my tank and my counter went up to 210 miles.

Yesterday i went to tesco i put in again £30.01 (i can never get it all 00's now since the prices have gone up grr) i had 0 miles in my tank but i got 340 miles!!!!

Now is it my car and it estimated it wrong or is it shell ripping me off??

No it's just your computer using the latest info to work out the current mpg figure to give you what's left. If you were doing 50 mpg when you pulled in you'd get loads of miles but if you had started up from cold and only done a short distance and your computer reckoned you were only doing 20 mpg then you wouldn't get many miles showing at all. It should increase as you drive further and the engine wams up.

I'm due for new insurance, and am being quote £340 approximately fully comp. Now considering I am 25, have been driving 8 years and have 8 years no claims bonus, I think your insurance company might be doing you out of a quid or two?? Or are other (more mature) Eos drivers experiencing the same(ish) renewal insurance figures? Maybe I'm just being quoted a really good deal...? :p or on the contrary, does anyone have any cheaper? :rolleyes:

Don't spend all your money! Stock market has tanked, and age creeps up on you real fast. Have fun, but put a little aside each month, and you will be able to continue buying toys!

The one that parks itself? Does it really do that? Is it a good gadget or do you not really use it? :rolleyes:

@nt1

aswell...its for the dog! and it does park itself - pretty cool!! wish the eos parked itself!!

when i can, i do use the park assit feature-however as it has to scan the whole parking bay prior, people behind get a little f**ked off as they dont know what your doing.....(probably thinking why cant this a******* park properly). little do they know that im reading the newspaper and the cars parking itself!! haha!!

another good one...

stop a passer by and ask for their helping parking....stick your hands out the window while the car takes over and watch their face!!

Haha

Hahaha yeah that's quite funny! Trying to talk blokey into test driving although his heart is kinda set on the Lexus now I think! :D

@nt1
10-27-2008, 01:22 PM
i'm not to familiar with the lexus, however i have the 2.0l diesel sport and it's as quite as a petrol..its a great car. if you can test drive it prior to the lexus.

the only bad point, i had to wait 8months for mine, and i think the waiting list is a little over a year now....apart from that its a great mini4x4 (altough i would love a cayenne turbo s as Barchetta)

Doolallygirl
10-27-2008, 02:15 PM
Hmmm will try to talk him into it. I'm pretty sure he will want to test drive one before making up his mind entirely anyway. It would be the same price as the Lexus he wants except he gets less for his money with the Lexus.

How did you manage to get two brilliant cars by your age??! :eek: (if you don't mind me asking!) :D

@nt1
10-27-2008, 02:53 PM
....working really hard!! sweat and tears...!! no other way.

i dont think i'll be getting another car anytime sooon tho! (the dog was really messing up the eos!) hence the tig.

i think i got off lightly being over 30 ( just :) ) for my car insurance i manage to covert my existing policy for £100 basicaly £20 a month more for the next 5 months. I have only been driving about 3 or 4 years.

Thats fully comp bells and whistles :) and the husbands on it as well :p
