I know probably this has been addressed before but I could not find a definite solution. The front license plate has a bracket with two top holes to hold the plate so I'll probably have to drill two more holes on the bottom, which is no problem, the rear plate has two top holes drill directly into the bumper, so I will also have to drill two more holes in the bottom, but when I install my plates I like to put a nice simple black frame with a plastic cover on it to protect the sticker from been stolen (it has been stolen in the past) and also it looks better, so obviously I will have to use longer and thicker screws, and here in SoCal you have to change the sticker every year, so everytime you unscrew and srew the plate it will eventually get worn out. Has anybody look for a solution to this problem?

Perhaps a nut and bolt would be better... I can't remember if you can easilt get to the back of the plate mountings as I have never tried... Just stickl your hand under the back bumper and see if you can feel the holes.

I don't know about the front but on the back you can go to a Napa store and get some plastic rivets that are removable or at least replaceable. The screws into the plastic are sort of crazy. The rivers work great.

That was rivets not rivers

Not too sure about your setup but I'm always running 3M tape on my plastic plates - no screws for me and it's kinda tough to pull them out!

It was kind of easy. The screws are short so they don't hit the metal under the plastic. I just drilled four holes to match the plate ( 5/16) then you put a rivet in the hole and pushed in a plastic center with your finger and it opens the back of the rivet and holds in the plate. My Suzuki had them all over the place to hold on trim. Anyway it has worked well for me. I think the screws worked for about two days before I almost lost the plate.
