If I press the key fob once it opens the drivers door, to open the passenger door as well I have to press it twice. Is there anyway I can change this to it simply unlocking both doors on one press or is this a 'feature'?

Yes, this a feature, you can set the car to open both doors at once, or one at a time. To Change this feature, simply access the on board computer menu through the steering wheel controls and go to convienence settings, and under the appropriate feature (door opening, or something similar) change the setting.

That will only work if you have access to those settings. If you have the square digital panel on the dash, then you don't have access to this... If you have the tall retangular one, then you do!

That's right, and if you can't do it yourself you have to get your dealer to do it for you. Have no idea how much they charge (if anything!)

Yep im sure , on some convenience ecu's the function has been removed from guided functions and from guided fault finding however it can still be coded changing the the relevent byte in the long coding of the ecu if that is the case

Some update ...the problem is it only works with alarm as it uses the alarm sirene.

If you get a SmartTop module, one of the features is a chirp of the horn when locking and unlocking - this is definitely owner programmable, and one of the reasons I got the SmartTop, as I have developed this habit of locking the car without looking as I walk away, and as I didn't necessarily hear anything, have to go back and check.
