Complete roof works as normal, sunroof works when using smarttop via key, I know the switch is fine as you can go through the smarttop menu and select/deselect options, it just wont work on the button..... weird?

Would rather avoid taking it to the dealer as would have to remove smarttop module again.

Anyone else had this problem?

Sounds very strange... Do you have the T-Lead, or did you unpick the wires from the loom?

It is possible that the signal from the button is just getting to the module and not beyond... This could be loose connection or bad connection, or less likely, faulty smarttop...

If this happened to me, I would re connect the original loom to the roof controller and see if that works... If it does, then check the wiring/T-Lead... If it looks OK, you may need to send back the smarttop module for replacement.

It is worthwhile you sending them an email and telling them what has happened.

Took Smart-Top module out and sunroof works fine now so left it out anyway as have to take Eos in to have some new rubbers fitted to roof.

Was hopeing she would remain unmolested by VW technision at least until the warentee runs out!! eh well.
