Colonial Parkway Drive --- Saturday April 25, 2009--- 11:30 am
***********************************************
Join your Eos Club friends for a hopefully sunny drive  from Jamestown to Yorktown along the scenic 23 mile Colonial Parkway. Eos owners and their families are invited to this informal meet and greet. If you know Eos owners who are not part of the Eos Club, invite them too!

Plan to gather at 11:30 am at the Jamestown Visitor Center 2218 Jamestown Road, Route 31 S., Williamsburg, VA 23185 (757) 229-1733
www.historyisfun.org

Enjoy the drive together along the Colonial Parkway, stopping for scenery and some photo opportunities.

We’ll have lunch at the Rivah Café at the Riverwalk Restaurant, 323 Water Street, Yorktown, VA 23690

After lunch, if you like, have a leisurely stroll in the nearby shoppes of Riverwalk Landing

Many thanks to “Rex” and “vbeos” for their input on location and activities for this meet and greet.:D

I'm there in spirit! Considering I don't have my Eos right now it would be difficult to join in anyway (excluding the fact that I'm in Britain!) ;)

Just over a month until the proposed central Virginia meet. One of my neighbors is interested but haven't heard from any club members here if there is interest in getting together. Looking for some RSVPs perhaps so that we can make this a more definite experience. Thanks......

Darren, it's a go for me. Hope we get some more replies. Too bad our overseas friends are so far away, they would be ready in a heart beat. Weather should be great by next month. Look for a white EOS.

Darren, is it still a go for the meet at Jamestown on the 25th? About 3 weeks ago my wife and I were returning from Richmond, stopped by Jamestown and took the Colonial Parkway back home. What a nice little drive.

It is absolutely still a go. My wife and I are driving out and I'm just reconfirming with another couple that lives about 5 min from me. I hope there might be a few others. Looking forward to meeting you and taking some photos. We'll be very patriotic at least. My friend's RED, you're WHITE, and I'm Blue :) Weather prediction for Saturday right now looks like a SUNNY 76 degrees!

Sunny. 76. Sigh. Here in Kent this morning it's cloudy, damp, windy and 8 Celsius (can't remember Fahrenheit any more)
Wish I could come too!!! Have fun.

OK, see you Saturday. Looks like a top down day with the wind deflector. Remember the speed limit on the Colonial Parkway is 45 MPH.

Wish I could join you. It looks like it will be in the high 70's low 80's here so maybe a little warmer down there. Unfortunatly I promised to play in a concert that day but I will be thinking about you guys.

Have fun (not that theres any doubt),

Forecast is now for sun and 89 degrees. I think we're going to have to drive a little faster than 45 mph to keep a comfortable breeze! At least my wife will be warm enough in the co-pilot seat. Hat. Sunscreen. Water. See you soon!

It turned out to be a very hot sunny day afterall, reaching into the 90s (farenheit). Some photos are posted in the Eos Photos Section. Mine is blue, "Rex" is white, and another couple who live nearby (I think they're lurkers not members yet) have red.

Thanks mate,

Problem solved - this forum has two different locations for photos which are not interlinked. I was checking the Eos Photos and Videos section of the main forum menu whereas there is also a separate menu for Photos on the top toolbar which is the one containing your photos.

Have cancelled my dementia test next week as a consequence :D :D :D .

Great photos - hope to be in your part of the world next year as I have a long-time family friend near Asheville in North Carolina who is long overdue for a visit.

Kind regards
David
