Why do I think Blog Spam?

I went to the trouble of checking this site as my thoughts were similar - this is a legitimate site and could be useful to our members who want to download YouTube videos subject to the laws applying in their country to copyright material.

My intuition is twitching on this member and my finger is poised if forum abuse eventuateshttp://emoticons4u.com/violent/sterb073.gif.

I have always wanted to bequeath at least one word to the English language in my lifetime but unfortunately this will not be the one.........

Well, look, either the OP is up to something, or is just plain stupid, or both--but he/she is just plain wrong. There are much easier ways to download videos than copying and pasting a YouTube URL into a page at another web site. See, for example, the "DownloadHelper" add-on for Firefox, which adds a download button to the navigation toolbar.

Hi Steve,

My personal view is this is a "click-through" scam where someone somewhere gets paid each time the linked website is accessed. The link I removed involved search engine links to websites. My suspicions were confirmed when I checked the member's registration which did not provide any information other than an email address which was obviously needed to complete registration.

My "welcome" to this member's introductory post was intended to alert our regular contributors that something was "not quite right" and be cautious about opening any links in the post.
