How much do VW gain by omitting this simple bit of kit? The only complaint I have with my dealer is that my car didn't have euro-standard numberplates when it was delivered, even though they knew that I went across the Channel. To be fair, they changed them gratis immediately I mentioned it. I spent the weekend worrying that someone had nicked it when I'd parked the car open but they apologised profusely on the Monday and came around specially with it! Manufacturers NEVER give you anything until they have to! I guess it would be safe to say that VW probably saves around $9.00 cost, by "deleting" that item from the EOS and shipping it to various parts of the world where the triangle is NOT required. However, I believe that it was $17.35 well spent just in case I ever need to use it for myself or another motorist in need.....:) | |
