Just heard from my neighbor that his son bought a new Jetta TDI from the same dealer I bought my Eos. Got the car home and then it started to have difficulty starting. After sitting a while it would again start. Brought it back in and they found gasoline in the diesel fuel. Apparently on researching this they found video of one of their employees inadvertently filling it up with gasoline just before delivery to the customer. Ugh! Ended up draining the tank and refilling with all diesel. Ultimately the young man decided he couldn't trust that car and ended up swapping for a different Jetta TDI.

Clearly they were just using petrol to clean the tank and the fuel lines of any sludge that may have accumulated in the couple of weeks since manufacture - I think they should be congratulated for being so proactive and thorough in their delivery procedures - what a pity they forgot to flush the petrol out when they finished.:rolleyes:
