HI GUYS,

Just though i would report i am just over 11,000 miles clocked up since oct last year and the oil light has popped on for the 1st time.

Last checked oil a month ago and all was fine topped up with 200ml and the car is good to go :)

As a matter of interest - how far down the dipstick was the actual oil level when the light came on?

I would be changing the oil at 11,000 miles no matter what the service indicator says - my experience with diesel engines suggests changing the oil sooner than later pays off in reduced engine wear and less oil consumption when the engine has 100,000 miles or more under its belt.
