You were lucky, all I got was a free coffee whilst waiting. Even the tank only was quarter full.

When we went in to order our Eos, there were only a few options available other than Basic, Sport and Luxury, 2.0t and 3.2. We laid out what we wanted and the dealership did a search and found they had just the model we wanted, located in Houston, Tx. Only differance was the car in Houston had 18" wheels and that raised the price about $400. I told them I wasn't interested in 18'' wheels and to order the car I wanted. They asked if I would take the car if the threw the wheels in for free. The wheels and a $400 "Costco" discount and we were done. Steve

Hell, you were lucky. My tank must have had a spoonful in. At least they didn't charge the usual obligatory "£50 for petrol"!

I'm going to pick mine up tonight, sign all the paperwork and do the Walk Around. I'll see what I can get out of my salesman! :-D

I got a hat

a VW stress ball

coffee - of course

tank of gas

and a pain in the rear salesman.

also got a vwclub membership and catalog as well as a 4 year VW magazine membership.

oh, and I don't know about the UK, but here they always put an emblem of some sort on the trunk adverstising the dealer you bought the car from. If they don't pay me to advertise... off it goes! Yes, it is gone, free of charge - as it should be.

I got invisible plastic strip installed across front hood to prevent stone chip damage, winter heavy rubber floor mats, 2 insulated VW coffee mugs, VW baseball cap, full tank of gas, and a large discount on my wind deflector which I subsequently bought. Dealer also agreed to provide an EOS as "hole in one" prize for charity event I organized. In return I have taken the two dealership owners golfing, and have several times talked to prospective purchasers. Have extremely good relationship with my dealer .. it helps! Fourth new car I have bought from them!

We picked up Black Beauty Apr 13, same as you gbulldogs, half a tank, a brochure and 2 coffees....I tried though...I was told there was no merchandise....yeah right....oh, I did negotiate scuff plates when I ordered (which were thought to be chrome but ended up being clear strips) which were otherwise $265....But, as we all know.....the Eos is worth every penny, freebies or no freebies......

1/4 tank of diesel, rear mudflaps and paint & carpet treatment. I did manage to get a 12% discount though, so I'm not complaining. I only had to wait 9 weeks for the exact spec I wanted.
Oh and they gave me a free dealer sticker on the boot lid - which is coming off.

12% DISCOUNT!!!!! I'd take that over all the "freebies" you can imagine! Well done!

No, he was just checking to make sure you hadn't picked his pocket! Cheers!
