I noticed on the Ausie Dealers merch there is a clearance audio EOS cd. Any one know how I can get one in the States?

Why not order it from the site above? I went through the first steps and it certainly appears that this approach would work. If they won't ship to the US, the order should blow up. If they charge you and then it doesn't arrive, ask for a refund from your credit card company.

Assuming the price is in Australian dollars, it comes to $10 US according to my conversion calculator.

I live in the UK and tried ordering from VW Australia, I was told they cannot process orders outside of Australia. In this day and age of the internet i could not udnerstand why but any request to udnerstand this fell on stony ground, best of luck

Have ordered one for the extortionate [:D] cost of AUD12.65 including delivery - quoted 5 days but will take an extra day to my part of the world if it comes by post. I am purchasing this as a collectors item to go with the car in years to come when it becomes a classic - we already have the vehicle brochures for the MY09 and a VWA motor show promotional carry bag for the Eos prior to its release in Australia.

How wrong could I have been - has arrived within 24 hours by Air Express Courier; well done VWA and The Promotions Factory.

The CD contains cover versions of a range of 2006 era popular hits - I haven't listened to them in full but a brief skim through them indicates they are of reasonable quality. I will listen to them properly later this afternoon. Please PM me if you want more information about the tracks.

I have now transferred the tracks to a SD card to play on the RCD510 as I am not prepared to play original CD's on a car player due to past problems with jamming and CD damage.

If anyone would like a 60 second sample of any track that might convince them to buy the CD, please PM me with your email address and I will send you a MP3 sample.

If anyone outside Australia wishes to obtain this CD, Geoffa1 or I will be happy to arrange purchasing it and sending it to you. I would prefer to aggregate orders for one purchase to keep the cost as low as possible for you.

Food for thought - would there be any mileage gained by seeing if this "owners club" site could set somthing up direct with VW that we had a direct ordering process from their Eos merchandise site. As previously posted when I got my Eos I found VW AU where listing a nice rally "Eos" badged rally jacket, which eventually through investigation I found was part of the original Eos launch material.

As VW Au would not allow me to order one (try and try as I may), I wrote to VW Germany and they actually called me on the phone to apologise for the trouble I was having, they themselves advsied me of these jackets only ever being available at launch, they had on my behalf checked with VW Au and found my size was no longer available anyway.

They actually sent me in the end a very nice watch as a way of apology, it was good to have but I was not bothered with the watch, I was however very greatful and it did restore my faith, that they took the trouble to call me personally and just give me an answer.

As a matter of interest with no promises attached, what size jacket were you after? I might be able to source one through the salesman who sold us the Eos from dealer stocks around Australia.

When I was contacted on the mobile by a customer service representative from Germany, they told me the jackets where no longer available, they had been one off in the launch material. That he (the caller to me) had contacted VW Au and what they had in stock was the last from this original launch material, sadly it did not inlcude the size of jacket I wanted.

Thanks for the offer, but I have in fact moved on from that now, my other half bought me a very expensive american style leather "flying" jacket for the times I am out and about in the cold with the roof down.

She would kill me if I said I was still looking to buy the rally jacket too
