Finally met my new EOS V6 yesterday (Deep black, cream leather, Westwoods, sat nav, CD changer) and will be in delivery in about 2 weeks when the plate transfer is sorted.
I have mixed feelings though... very happy about the Eos but sad to put a chapter of my life away! I've always driven Golf GTi s, and am trading in an 18mth old GTi. But as I creep towards a significant age  and I am now a senior teacher at a secondary school, I figured it was time to grow up! Holding onto my 'boy racer' image with the V6 though :D
Husband drives a Touareg and is currently awaiting the V10 he ordered in January.. being built next week :) and it may be that we take receipt of both cars at the same time!
You all seem like a nice bunch, so hope to get to know more about you all!

Welcome from Canada Karen, and good luck with both your new cars!
Congratulations on your purchase. I'm sure you will love it. THe V6 is one I really wanted but just could not stretch to the extra involved. You will love it, consider it an R32 convertible and you won't go far wrong.
Cheers

Karen,
I just received my Eos last saturday, had mixed feelings about a month ago though, thought I should have bought a golf GTI, just because I had been waiting since November 2006. However the Car is fantastic and well worth the wait, you will cetainly enjoy it.

Ditto for me! I drove my beloved Audi A4 2.0TFSI Quattro tonight and loved that car for lots of reasons, not least its roadholding stickability [lost count of poor Beemer drivers who tried to drive up my tailpipe on country roads and then suddenly looked sick as I shot around a few curves with merry abandon while I watched them struggle!!] - I digress! I loved that car and said a fond farewell, then got back into the Eos - and grinned! Enjoy it, I know you will!!
