I went to book my EOS in for its 30,000K service today. They are saying it will cost me $440 for the service. They only want the car for 2 hours on a Saturday morning. They are fully booked through the rest of the month.

I rang another dealership and they quoted me $580 for the same service and told me it is a major service.

Is the first dealer ripping me off by doing a simple oil change and a tightening of the hand brake for $440 in 2 hours, or is the service actually only a 2 hour service even though it is major?

Any one else remember how long it took for the service and what they had to pay?

I suggest you shop around all the VW dealers in your area/state. A 40 min drive from where I live (compared to a dealership being within 15 mins drive) saved me over $280. VW have no national standard servicing charges, each dealership differs in price..

My EOS's done almost 14,000 km so it's up for the 15,000 km servicing soon.
How much am I expect to pay in Brisbane area?

I'm in Melbourne EOSing, so the price will be different in Brissy. Look on the VW website for the dealerships around your area - or where your willing to drive your car to get serviced, then start ringing around. If they are anything like Victoria, you will be shocked. I think my 15K service was $285mark.... but I had it done in Country Vic - 4hrs drive when I was on holidays.

Thanks for that link Hayman002, found a new VW service centre near me which I will use in future! The prices quoted are much better than the supplying stealer charged for my 15k service.
