EOS, 7 days old, first day of rain we notice a leak at base of both rear pillars near rear quarter lights - anyone else have the same thing!

Hi Andy,

My main leak is from the drivers side at the front where the roof meets the windscreen frame - only had one small spot once in the rear when I washed it (bucket + sponge not hosepipe/pressure washer).

With all the rain these past few days it has leaked a lot. I usually put a thick cloth down to catch it. I did have the roof down one day this week and overnight it chucked it down but there was no leak - so I'm guessing my seals realigned themselves - but to be honest it could well happen next time it rains in my case.

I've not taken it into the garage yet - mainly because every post I've read has implied the garage having the car for many days and I've got a hefty commute to work - plus I'm always worried that they'll make things worse.

Have you read the thread about lubricating the seals this may help - I tried but not successfully - though to be fair I didn't have time to do it thoroughly and leave the roof down after - hopefully going to try again soon. (Though on a new car you'd be right not to expect to have to do this).

Not sure what else I can say except that I've done 7000 miles since February and even with the leaks I'm still loving the car.

Rejecting it is a choice only you can make - I spent so long looking at different cars before coming back to the Eos and am still happy with it - just need to sort the leaks and it'll be perfect.

All the best with sorting it out - let us know how you get on.

Cheers,
Si
