3000 miles, 3 weeks, 5 countries: we saw only 8 Eoses, and five of those in the last three days!! Where are they all? In Germany people were asking us if it was a real VW, as they had never seen one!
The tyre problem I brought up elsewhere didn't get worse.
As for speed - we never had a chance to get the measure of it. We were never on a German motorway without restrictions, and they were always too busy for the chance to fly! (My husband got flashed by a German speed camera doing 70 just after an emergency 60 sign.) French motorways were usually empty but there always seemed to be a camera looming or a posse of police motorcycles around the corner.
LOts of top down driving, even in the Swiss mountains where it was rather
co-o-o-old! What a holiday. I think we should have a European get-together!

Must have been grand in the Swiss mountains, we did it on a bike a number of years ago and it was fabulous, truely memorable

Be interesting to see if the speeding fine catches up with him, hope they don't want him to pay it at the issuing office lol. Only kidding. Just a shame you didn't get onto any unrestricted autobahns just for the experience
