Click here (http://members.lycos.co.uk/vweos/VW_EOS_CLUB_WITH_NAME.pdf) for the official EOS Club site flyer.

If anyone has any problems with it, please do let me know.

Andrew, it may be a suggestion to make this post sticky so it remains at the top of the board.

Starting tomorrow, I'll put one on the windscreen of any other EOS that I come across on my daily travels.:)

Gavster, vey good work (especially the "future classic" is perfect). I wonder though if you could do something with the car on top of the flyer, as the red doesn't seem quite realistic. Let's start using the flyer.

Gavin,

I think this looks awesome. You'll never please everyone but I give it TWO big thumbs up. Thanks for putting this together.

Not to worry Gavin .... let's get going with what we have and get on with it. Bet you just want a car now to go with the bumper sticker you will be getting? Cheers!

I didn't mean it was bad... just that I just didn't feel it captured the spirit of the Eos.

Hi Gavin,
I guess if you are going to have to wait longer for your car, then we should get Andrew to give you more assignments to fill in the time! Probably won't hear from you once the car arrives! Still have my grand kids here, but they prefer to go out on ATV rather in EOS. Can't say as I blame them!

There you are Andrew .... a fine gentleman lined up to keep the pot boiling on the club posters and bumper stickers! Great weather here for EDA's .... sunny every day for past week and temperature in the high 20's. Today is Father's Day, and I have six kids and two grandkids all staying here to do a big barbrcue!

Hi Graham,

I think either Comet30 or DDLWeb was the rep in the end.

Not sure.

Have printed off some Flyer's to keep in car, when I get it, to hand out if and when I see another EOS in my area. Only know of one other and that's in the same village as me !!! Have only seen one other on the road in the Newark area so far! How about some EOS Club sticker's for the windscreen ?

Simon, Do you know if you have had any success with your first batch in attacting new members?
I have put out a few but so far no takers as far as I can tell.

Ditto Here Graham,
I have made both posters and license plate stickers avaialble thru the forum, on the street to new EOS', and thru the dealer but with virtually no positive feedback! Even free, nobody seems interested!

That's the interesting thing..... YOu never know if they join because you don't know what username they would use!

Some of them, I have got out the car and given them one at traffic lights.... No chance to even chat, just give the flyer and off you go!!

It just gets the thought in people heads.. Especially the comment "Future Classic".. I think that's great!

I'll take that as a compliment then :)

I gave one out myself the other day to an older lady in a supermarket car park. She looked at me like mad when I flagged her down! She said 'oh thanks' before driving off.

Don't think she's joined yet, although how do we know if our potential new recruits haven't been reading the threads without signing up!

That's so cool!! I was remotely closing the roof at the weekend and as it started closing, this old lady (at least in late seventies) watched for a few seconds, came up to me and said "Oh, she's a beauty, young man!".. Was so sweet!

Why not each of us make some copies and ask the dealers to put them with the delivery package ? Some probably would do so.
Actually a prospective buyer knowing about a large, international "club" is a good sales tool.
I just received my California "sun tea" herbal tea kit (Tea, container, cover) from VW. Anybody get chocolate?......work a trade.........??
I also just received my 6th "opinion" poll from different "research" companies and 2 from VW. Looks like somebody cares.

What on earth is this Sun Tea kit then Duane ? A freebie that we don't know about over here ?
I gave my dealer some of the flyers to put in cars and in his showroom car, but whether he will or not is another matter. I'll check in the showroom car when I go to pick up my car on Saturday !!!! Counting down the hours now.

Like the flyer. Will keep some in the car. Has anyone thought about a sticker for the window. Something small and discreet 3-4cm for example. I'm not advocating anything brash and windscreen wide.

Im keen on the car sticker its alot easier than handing out flyers ive spotted a few eos's so the car stickers would be ideal :)

You could stick your name in the box at the bottom, just alongside the words

"If you would like to contact me,
my name on the club forum is:"

Hey Darren

She's fine. The steering feels really heavy and changing gear uses a lot of muscle compared to the crappy Polo I was in for so long and we are still talking of compensation but things are going ok so far. Still waiting for a heavy downpour to prove her waterproofness (!!?) but will no doubt let you all know if things go awry again!

Re the flyers, is it a bit creepy to send the leaflets to people when I have only seen the Eos on their driveway?!

Hi Doolallygirl, have been following your saga and frustration over the weeks.

I'm so glad to hear that hopefully your problems may be over.

My car is now 2years old and although I had a problem at the start with a towbar, my car has never leaked. I have also been lucky with my dealer in Birmingham.
Its the only car I have ever owned, that still after 2years gives me a thrill every time I drive it. Cheers Steve3
