Has anyone in the UK registered an Eos EXCLUSIVE since August. Mine was first registered in August 2010. The Log Book came back with the model described as an INDIVIDUAL. I passed the the Log book back to my dealer as I thought it was their mistake. After several phone calls I have now received a letter from DVLA stating that they have no details of this model in their system and have asked Volkswagen to supply them in order that they can update and supply me with the correct Log Book.
I cant believe that mine was is the only Eos EXCLUSIVE registered in the months Aug - Dec 2010.
If anyone has registered an EXCLUSIVE in this period can you check your Log Book to see that it has the correct Model description and let me know.
Mine is an Eos EXCLUSIVE TDI DSG.
Have Fun.

Hi Bob,
Glad to say you're not the only "Individual in the village"
I bought the Doris one in September. Just looking at the V5, guess what? Individual.
Mind you, if you ask Volkswagon, they haven't got a clue what the differences between Individual and Exclusive are anyway.
I had a similar issue on my V5 on my previous car.
What I suggest you do is check your engine and chassis match first, then give your main dealer a mighty fine rocket, it'll be the dealership that has DVLA access rights to enter the vehicle, but cannot update your details.
DVLA took six weeks to update details on my previous car, after numerous calls and then complaints.
Looks like we're gonna have to go through this all over again.
It'll be good to hear how you get on.
Best of luck!!

Hi
Yep have the same problem - even most insurance companies have the same problem, the only difference between the 2 vehicles is one had a petrol engine and the other a diesel other wise the base spec is the same. We all wait for the out come it's the normal manufacturers thing lets combine 2 models into one then forget to tell anybody about it ?
regards rogerbasil - done 2500 miles so far.

Guys,
The difference between Individual and Exclusive is the dash and steering wheel. The Exclusive is an updated Individual. Simples.
The Individual had previous dashboard/radios/and climate controls, red MFD and the buttons on the steering wheel are round. Whereas the Exclusive has the latest dashboard/lastest radios, the climate controls now do not display the temperatures on the dash in thier own little readouts, it is displayed in the radio, the MFD is now white and the steering wheel has square buttons.
Engine offerings remain the same.
All main insurance companies recognise both Individual and Exclusive.
As long as VW can offer the correct model number, the issue can be resolved with DVLA.
Best of luck guys!!

Success !!
Today I received a new Log Book (V5) with the Eos described as an 'Exclusive'. This took a bit of ferreting about on my part as the local VW dealer hadn't a clue and could only refer it back to DVLA & VW head office. DVLA were writing to VW Milton Keynes who never responded.
I found a VW lady in a back office in Leeds who said she could sort it out if DVLA contacted her through the VW office in Sheffield. I informed DVLA of this and hey presto the new and corrected V5 arrived. Is mine the first Exclusive to be registered?
If you have an Exclusive but your V5 says it is an Individual then I should contact DVLA and ask them to change it.
Have Fun.
