Hi,

Just picked up an MY08 EOS FSI Manual in dark grey (still not sure what the official name is!) yesterday. Only options are leather trim and heated seats. Has done 35,000km and feels like new, has been very well looked after.

Attached are some pics, what a great day to pick up a convertible!! :)

First mod already planned, pull out the factory headunit (RCD500?) and put in the Alpine IXA-W407EBT from my old Bora V5. Have ordered a complete Connects2 double-din conversion kit from ebay that includes harness adaptor, aerial adaptor and canbus interface, should be a straightforward job.

The colour is Icelandic Grey.

Actually, are you sure about that? Looking at the following VW AU brochure for the EOS on the colours page near the end it lists it as Indium Grey:

http://brochures.volkswagen.com.au/Eos/Index.aspx

Maybe they have just changed the name between 2008 and now?

hi Adam.....if you look in the boot, under the spare wheel cover, on the RHS, there is a white sticker listing all the option codes for your car..write 'em all down then go to this site... http://igorweb.org/equidec/Default.aspx enter the codes, and it will tell you what you have, I think also the colour, hopefully....

Hmm, was planning to do that anyway but just looked and the sticker is not there. :(

I wonder if VW Aus can replace it based on the VIN?
