: Count Down has begun!
Scooby Doo 06-14-2007, 11:23 AM Good news heard my Eos has arrived at the docks, just waiting for it to clear customs. Have sent cover note and no. plate cert to the dealer, so all being well collection date set for next wednesday (20th)! Getting very excited now - just holding my breath in case of any set backs! (Insurance Co haven't helped by sending a cover note for my existing car but sorted that now!).:D :D
schoolhousefred 06-14-2007, 12:16 PM Cheers and good luck from Collingwood, Canada! Lots of great EDA's!:)
ddlweb 06-14-2007, 01:00 PM What build week were you?
Scooby Doo 06-14-2007, 01:06 PM What build week were you?
I don't know but ordered on 14th March and told 16 weeks so it's actually arrived sooner than expected! Yipee for me!:D
Sue
Gavster 06-14-2007, 07:52 PM I make that 14 weeks from order to delivery.
comet30 06-15-2007, 10:48 AM What????????????????????
I ordered mine 28th February and am still waiting? How the hell did that happen?
Is it my VW dealer being a lazy git or what?

The squeaking wheel gets the oil!
Gavster 06-15-2007, 01:03 PM Apparently alot of it depends on what spec you have ordered, with higher spec models taking a bit longer.

Well Gavin,
With all the "goodies" you have on yours, hope you are waiting forever! Grandkids here now ... so lots of chances for top down driving! Cheers!

Can't think why. It takes only about 3 or 4 hours for the car to go down the line and can't take more than a few minutes to fit this or that option! Computers control it all.
Sounds like an excuse to me!
Harin 06-15-2007, 05:04 PM Contrats ! Hope you get lots of sunny days with the top down. !
Cheers and good luck from Collingwood, Canada! Lots of great EDA's!:)
On a unrelated matter - I've noticed the word EDA being used a lot of times - what does this mean?

I suspect that scheduling of production comes AFTER known availability of parts. Could be that some of optional extras are ordered on less frequent cycle or have longer lead times.
Hi harin,
EDA = Eos Driving Adventures,
and I hope you have loads of them

Scooby Doo 06-20-2007, 12:59 PM Very very giddy today! A couple more jobs to get done then I'm off to pick up my new baby! Have checked with the garage that everything ok and it is so I'll be amending my status in the member poll later this afternoon!
Sue x:D :D
Well, did you get your wheels??
Scooby Doo 06-21-2007, 09:58 AM Been grinning like a cheshire cat since yesterday afternoon! Have been cruising - top up - top down! Really pleased with it, haven't yet decided on a name though!
Managed to get a free set of mats but not enough petrol to get me home!! Can't have everything though and I got it for a good price so I'm more than happy.
...can you tell I'm happy??!!!
Sue
schoolhousefred 06-21-2007, 12:15 PM Congratulations Sue,
Hope your weather is great at least for next few days so you get full enjoyment of your new, un-named baby! Cheers!
Gavster 06-21-2007, 12:54 PM I echo Fred's conratulations.
Let us know how you get on.
Congratulations, many happy EDAs ahead (and may the sun shine)
Best wishes
ps do you have a visible tail pipe(s)? and do you have 1 or 2?
Scooby Doo 06-26-2007, 10:53 AM Sorry for delay in reply to your question Gogg, have been to ascot and aerosmith this weekend in the rain!!:)
There are no visible tail pipes on my 2.0 FSI Sport model.
Scooby,
Many thanks for letting me know. Someone who works beside me was at Aerosmith as well and said that it was a great concert. I presume you are really enjoying your Eos, just a pity about the weather.
Cheers

What do you do with your weekends with no tail-pipes to polish? Seems a few of us saddos on this Website would be at a complete loss...!
Gavster 06-27-2007, 03:46 PM I think as more and more members get their cars we should start to organise mini meets throughout the UK. Used to do this with the TT club all the time where a small bunch of us would meet up and go for a cruise (often at high speed) and stop somewhere for lunch before cruising (often at high speed) again afterwards!

I think I answered it in my previous post - at ascot and aerosmith!!!
The concert was fab and it stopped raining just as they came on - surprised myself at how many songs I knew and liked.
But anyway back to the car... I love it, just praying for all this rain to stop so I can cruise topless (so to speak!)
Sue :)

I won't ask for an explanation of what "topless" means, but if you would be kind enough to post pictures, we would all be eternally grateful!
Cheers from sunny, dry Collingwod, Canada!
