pbrom, sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but its at the dock in Portugal. It has to go to Germany soon and then be shipped to England.

Will take about a month! Sorry!

Mine is awaiting shipping in Germany been there for two weeks, same as Gavin, missed the boat last week! Wonderful! Hopefully this friday too!

mine still not here, was told built week24 dealer doesn`t even know why it hasn`t got to the UK yet. Thinking of now telling him if it does arrive keep it until new reg on 1st August, as i think it might affect re-sale value. Anyone got any thoughts on that ??

reading through this thread gave me an over whelming urge to ring the dealership. mines built (wk 26) and is apparently awaiting ship for Portugal.
I now have a permanent demented grin plastered across my face, and a burning desire to stamp my foot and scream "I WANT MY EOS NOOOOW" lol. could you imagine us all in the same room with all this pent up eos excitement. we certainly wouldnt need any booze to make us merry!!!!!

sorry awaiting ship from Portugal to Germany.........DUH!!

when i ordered my eos i was told that it would not be with me until mid august and it was the dealer that suggested to hold on till sept 1st for the new reg. as for a matter of 2 weeks the car would be a newer registration and therefore reflect in after sales price. dont know if i was being naive but it made sense to me, also it allowed another fortnight for any further delays, so hopefully it will be all systems go for the date i have now firmly fixed in my head as eos day lol

*Do not drink and drive*

gavster when i get my eos i will always be the designated driver on nights out, absolutely no alcohol for me, and any passengers that feel slightly squiffy will have to use shanksys pony, because they have 2 hopes of getting in my baby. do you think my eos will make me a tad unsociable? actually that sounds fine i can go driving on my own, perfect lmao

Jamcar,

I'm actually T-Total, I just make a living from selling the stuff (checkout our website http://www.justminiatures.co.uk)

In my younger days I was the first one with a driving license and always the one that did the driving so always stayed away from the drink. And that's how it stuck. Besides the fact that I can't stand the stuff!

Hi Gavin!
great idea never come across those before, when will the eos christening miniature be available?

We do sell personalised miniatures but I'm not sure that a small bottle of whisky associated with driving would be the right thing to do ;)

Hey everyone, just reading through all your messages, and remembering how excited I was, driving home from the dealers with the biggest grin on my face, I then had to go on a leaving do, with work mates, all I wanted to do was get in my Eos put roof down and drive! It was SO unfair !!!
Enjoy the waiting, its SO worth it.
Keep us updated, must learn how to put my Eos pic on here, will ask my daughter!

Gav - how about a small bottle of Lime and Soda then - I'm a bit of a fan of the booze, planning to reduce my drinking by getting a car I just want to drive and drive so I becme Des for the night - see I've even justified the Eos to myself as an improvement to my health

I went with the GAP insurance. Having seem some other threads on other forums about the cost of repairs when involving the roof, I don't think writing off the car will be all that difficult...

By that I mean the cost of repairs, not that you're likely to crash....

Gavster, oops yep mean`t 1st Sept. Spoke to dealer yesterday, i`m getting a little annoyed now. Not dur to the fact that it is 14wks since order (told 10-12) but with the fact that no one seems to be able to give me a reason. Been at `port of exit` for a month now !

i can fully understand your annoyance with the situation, is your dealer not able to answer your questions as to what the hold up is and how much longer you are expected to wait and not in the dark!!
it does seem to be very hit and miss with the dealership and the information that they supply, what dealer have you orderd your eos thru?
i hope that you get some concrete answers very soon and your situation is resolved.
all the best

You could make use of the free 7 day cover. They fax it straight through to your dealer.
