Hi Guys - I purchased a '07 DSG TDI EOS last week and have booked it in with the local VW dealer to have a tow-bar fitted next week mainly for bike-racks etc as I am a keen cyclist. Is there any known downside to have the after-market tow-bar fitted?

Thanks Hayman002 - I have been through the related tow-bar threads now. I am going for the more expensive VW factory supplied and fitted tow-bar which sounds like the better though more expensive option for me. Will advise if any problems incurred as a result of the fitting.

Tow-bar fitted without any dramas by local dealer. Very pleased with outcome. Ready now to take the tandem cycle away for a weekend spin.
