Hello everyone!
Ordered my 2008 Eos yestersay, so I have 16 weeks to wait and nothing to do but shop for accessories. I am trying to pace myself, but those suitcases are very tempting.
However, I was wondering if any of you current owners have managed to fit an existing suitcase of your own in the allowable space for same with the top down. If so, what were the measurements of the case?
Thanks for your help!

Are you trying to put the suitcases in with the top down? If so, they would have to be pretty thin. We use out normal suitcases and just put the top up, a bit of nuisance, but okay. Where are you finding custom luggage?

Wife and I just got back from the beach for a 3 day weekend. Brought the dog who owned the rear seats and the small triangular windows (perfect for the dog by the way). We used two duffle bags that were pretty packed, but all the same they don't have rigid sides so they were snug, but fit in the cubby with the guard down. Just a cheaper option if you want to opt for another accessory.

your dealer can order them for you
I looked at a company that sells the special suit cases for the Eos and it said you can only use one with the 3.2 engine? I can't imagine the cubby is smaller, is it?

Yes it is. There are two batteries stored on either side of the compartment (right up against the seat backs). Not a worry for those of us in Canada, however, since we can't order the 3.2s up here.

Thanks EOSmage
I hear the batteries are big bucks too. Not looking forward to replacing two 6v gel cells! Hopefully someone make a cheep replacement in a few years.

It is a shame that they couldn't make those batteries thinner but taller. Fill in the back area from bottom to top and make them stick out less...
oh well.

Not sure what the dealers charge for these suitcases, but you can order them here for $145 US each. Photos available.

I think its because of the the pop up guards that are housed behind the rear seat that are activated by pyrotechnics should the car sense that its going to flip.
I dig that word: pyrotechnics... :D I'll say it again: P Y R O T E C H N I C S
Ahhh... its so schweet!!!
