Does anyone know if this is possible in North American models? I saw an EOS owner on YouTube doing it but not sure which country he's from. He basically clicked on the buttons twice and the roof automatically opens and shuts.

Also, when i open my sunroof (as a tilt only), i usually over do it and the window ends up opening all the way. Isn't there an indicator to tell you when to let go of the button when opening (tilt only) the sun roof?

Again - i guess it's different for each country. I'm from Canada - so any suggestions/ confirmations would be greatly appreciated.

There is a mod that you can buy that allows you to do a number of things with the roof - although VW really do frown upon anybody messing with the roof.

There are a number of threads talking about this. VW doesn't like them at all in Canada (believe me, I've asked) and even own a never-installed roof mod.

Find someone with a VAG-COM. The remote Windows AND Sunroof will work on an EOS. It is just a few checkboxes away.

This is not considered a 'mod'. Basically, you hold the unlock to open windows/sunroof. Or hold the lock to close windows/sunroof.

Other VWs are not as lucky, only close both and open windows.

Like archiea said if you press once quickly on the sunroof button, it will auto open to the first position. Then, if you press quickly once more, it will auto open to the full open position. It takes a bit getting used to. It doesn't always work; depends how you press the button.
