Hi, I write from Tenerife, Canary Islands, I have ordered my eos on april, but it will be delivered on October :confused: so, I have a lot of time to think about it and to drive me crazy :D . I hope time flies Fred because when I ordered my car they told me I'd have to wait for 3 or 4 months, what a surprise last week when the said that I received my eos on october :mad: , but I have realised that it's normal to wait for almost half a year :( u are right lanmarc, this is the "Waiting For Your EOS Club" :D

Welcome to the club.
In Tenerife I guess you'll be able to drive top-down year round.

In Provence I think it will soon get at bit too hot for top down. So July & Aug may be just sunroof open, windows down & clima on.

You say you're getting Samoa Red, your avatar looks more like Paprika Red to me?
I've attached a pic, I have of Samoa red from another member - sorry can't remember who. I almost got that colour but decided on Island grey.

Hope you enjoy the site. I know the rest of us do, almost as much as driving our EOS.

Welcome. You'll find we are friendly bunch, well, all but one bloke called 'Gurnygub' :D who's a bit mad :p (just kidding).

I echo what Fred says, there are alot of very knowledgable people on here that are very happy to answer any questions that you may have about your new EOS.

I love the colour of your attached pic, just a pity it's not available in UK else I would have had that or the Island Grey.

I'm really English, just work & live in Provence.
That colour combo looks really good. It's a really rich colour. I was very tempted but I love the way my Island grey looks. I didn't see my colour until mine arrived was very happy I got it right.
After I ordered mine I saw a Samoa red in the dealer looked really good, especially with the red nappa - I love that colour.

Time will soon pass and you'll be able to swap your avatar pic for the real thing.:)

Hi jamcar.. I ordered my eos 18-04-07 and have been told it should be at the dealership around the 10th july .I hope i'me not being told porkies by the salesman !

Hi Bobster! When I initailly ordered the car I was told that it would take between 16/18 weeks, that took it to 24/08. It was suggested as there were no guarantees on the delivery time, and it was so near the new registrations why dont I wait.
On chasing up progress with the build, was firstly told that my car build date had been sidelined as VW didnt want to build the car and have it sitting around for a prolonged period of time, so that indicated to me that the the order date was probably over exaggerated. then was informed that my build date was week 26 (last week)
Bobster I get the impression that you have not had any contact from your dealer concerning your Eos build, if you give them a ring they will be able to give you a progress report, rather than you being left frustrated in the dark. we are nearly at your due date so hope that everything runs to plan.When you hear something let us know. All the best.
