My 2011 Eos has been in the shop a couple of times to replace some bad parts. When I dropped mine off I got a 2012 Jetta Automatic as a loaner car. I thought that all newer Jettas use the same DSG as the EOS, but the feel was totally different between the two. The Jetta felt like it had a conventional torque converter when taking off from a stop, and gear changes were slow & gradual, etc. In my EOS however I always feel (but not hear) a little pulsation as I accelerate from a stop and the shifts are almost instantaneous. I like the gear changes in the EOS but I kinda wish it had the torque-converter-feel of the Jetta in first gear. Has anyone else noticed this who has driven both cars, and is this by design??

I think (could be wrong) that only the Jetta GLI has the DSG starting with the 2013 models. All others have the standard 6 Speed automatic like my 09 CC, VR6 has.
