Company #1 sells aircraft parts and supplies to the commercial airline industry as well as the US (and other) governments. Even them guys in Australia. :o

Company #2 manufactures aftermarket parts for Jeeps. Bumpers, skid plates racks etc but we also mfr engine driven air compressors for a few different types of vehicles. I don't think I'll be stuffing one in an EOS though.

I'm a self employed bookkeeper. Currently trying to reduce my client base but not succeeding very well - they won't let me go - (I know it's lovely to be wanted but...)

Would like a change in career path to do something for me rather than helping other people make money but can't think what direction I would like to go in!

I spent 10 years working in I.T. on the trading floors for the banks and financial institutions in London. One day I decided that I had had enough and walked out.

Started a company called Just Miniatures (www.justminiatures.co.uk (http://www.justminiatures.co.uk) & www.justminiaturegifts.co.uk (http://www.justminiaturegifts.co.uk) and haven't looked back.

In our fifth year now and still growing strong.

Should have mentioned in my cv that the reason I'm self employed is so that I can fit work in around the activities of a 12 year old boy and a 10 year old girl!

I'm three weeks away from being unemployed (on purpose, I quit my job!) - my current title is Technical Service Manager. I got them to change it from Head of Technical Services as I thought it was a bit poncy!!!

As for what I do, well thats a good question - I sit in meetings, talk about technical stuff I really don't fully understand, and manage a bunch of hardcore IT technical experts!

I work in the Oil & Gas industry, in the middle of the cold and harsh North Sea, done it all my days, just about with a few small breaks to try working at home and on land based jobs, but I just cant get used to daily commuting and going to work so much with so little time off ! Do a steady 2 weeks on three weeks off rota now and this suits me fine now. I love the leasure time my job gives me and treat it as a practice for retirement. When I am offshore I dont think of it as work I go with a mind-set that its a health farm, I dont drink there (No alchohol) go to the gym every day, eat a healthy diet, have early nights, catch up on my reading oh and very very occasionly I do a bit of work but in general avoid work as much as possible whilst there ! Happy days !!

Thanks Gavster! It is hard work but they are worth it! They both love the Eos too. Right little posers when we have been out with the roof off! My 7 year old once said on a trip out "mum, why is everyone looking at us and smiling?" At the time she had her head in the air and was wearing a pair of 'jackie O' sunglasses! Why indeed!
Hope you finally get your saga sorted out.

I am a Software developer (yes another IT person) working in the Financial industry. I have 8 years old twins, one of which usually wears just a T-shirt in the summer when we have the roof down whilst the other one wears a puffer jacket. I sometimes fell a bit mean putting them through this but they both love the car. I think passengers at the back are a bit of an after thought. Whilst we are nice and cosy at the front with our heaters and heated seats, there is hardly anything to keep warm at the back, which makes sharing your enthusiasm difficult.

Could be of course the fact that most Eos owners are not IT literate or don't come on line. (I take this from the number I see around but are not on the forum) Leaving the IT crowd to gather here producing a biased view. Just a thought.
