Found a new OEM windscreen for my Eos on Ebay for $177. Beats the $700 the dealer wanted for the same thing.

Not quite sure what an OEM windscreen is? Could you clarify BLK EOS please?

its a mesh screen the covers the area above the rear seat compartment and extends above and behind the front seats. It greatly reduces the air turbulance while driving at high speed with the top down. I find using it with the windows and the windshield screen up makes freeway driving quite comfortable. Helps with the top up and sunroof open as well. Kind of turns your four seater into a two seater when in place.

BLK EOS's explanation is good. But if it sthe OEM part then thats Original Equipment Manufacturer ie VW.

Thank you guys for the explanation. I know exactly what you are talking about now. First time I have heard of this acronym.

Well if I could figure out how to add an attachment I would attach a jpeg to this reply.

Tell you what... Click the image under my Member name and you should get a view of the one over my back seats.

We are just talking about the wind 'deflector' here aren't we?

Windshield or Windscreen in many parts of the world relate to the big rectangular bit of glass at the front of the car, that stops bugs from getting in your teeth.

hehe... I was just thinking that!

I dont have a wind deflector, but going by the positive comments from those of you that do I think I will invest in one... although NOT from VW!

I have one, but never even taken it out the bag it came in! LOL

Maybe I should if it is worth that much!

Cos of the kids, I rarely have space in the back for it, the kids need to go there!
