Yes, I removed the badges, I try to do that to all my cars.
It's really easy since they use doublesided tape. Just get them warm, and peel them off carefully.

I think it makes the car look so much cleaner.

Hey there,
I'm in the US so when I say 2.0T (I mean the gas engine, non TDI)
I wish we had the 2.0TDI here in the states.

But aside from that I LOVE my car, It surprises me how many times i've had people pull over, or follow me to ask me what kind of car it is (since I removed the badges).

I'm sure you'll love yours.

Cheers!
Cody

hey codyallyn:

i also ended up with the gasoline motor as VW decided not to bring the TDI motor into the states and Canada. I am in Vancouver B.C. and i negotiated with VW to go over to europe and pick up a TDI at the plant. but no such luck.

maybe if enough of us north americans bitch about the situation our 2nd generation EOS may be diesel!!

I'm actually suprised that they aren't planning on bringing in the TDI over here in NA especially since the Jetta and Golf TDI are doing so well. If we didn't have any TDI models here maybe I'd understand more, but this doesn't make sense. Maybe they want to test the popularity first, then decide?

Sweet, it's a good engine, If they offered the TDI in the states, I would have bought one of those.. My other car is a 2006 Jetta TDI. I think the reason there are less TDI's here is due to the emissions. Hopefully with the new TDI engine they are releasing for the US in 2008 jetta's (blue)something.
Hopefully they will offer it in other models.

I'm looking at trading in the Jetta TDI for the Tiguan TDI 2.0 when it's avail.

I think i'm addicted to VW's

I wonder if there's a 12 step program.

I think it has to do w/ Emissions and the US being more strict. I can't speak for Canadian Markets tho.

Yes/no, it has to do with the LOW quality of diesel that the US produces/offers.

"VW can't offer any of the new diesel engines that meet EC4 emission specs in the USA because the diesel fuel sold in the USA doesn't meet the quality standards that these engines require. Diesel fuel sold in the EC has met the required standard since 1999, in Canada, since 2002."

So TDI should be available in Canada but Canada is apparently getting very few EOSs.... (so I've heard).

Cody, Love the pics, but are there two cars or just one, on some pics one looks island grey the other shadow blue?

Perhaps its just the camera?

Again great photos. The scenery from the PNW is very nice. If the Helios are your "new" wheels do you still have the 18 inch Huffs that were on there? If you do have them would you considering selling?

All the same car,

The Majority of the pics were taken with my "nice" Camera and they all look Island grey, The others were taken with my cell phone.. which doesn't quite get the color right.

:-D

The "Current" folder is where the most recent pics are located. :)

Cody,

Thanks for that. I was beginning to think that perhaps you had got one of those chromatic paint jobs as well. The camera does tell lies then it seems.
It's a great set of pictures all the same.

Cody - excellent photo's, and probably the most comprehensive set from anyone!

My own Island Grey is due at the dealers on 15th April, so not long for me now - I'll reciprocate and slap up some photo's once my hands have stopped shaking from excitement!!

Cheers

Hi everyone, as I only brought a new car less than a year ago (mitsubishi ) I have to wait a while before going shopping again. whilst driving down the road the other day I saw the EOS and fell in love. I have not taken it for a test drive yet, but will do. Here in Sydney Australia they offer the 2.0TDI and the 2.)TFSI. We have the Alloy Wheel Akiros 17x71/2 and the Azuro 17 x 71/2 and the Azuro (titanium) 17 x 171/2 the Velos (brilliant Silver) 18 x 8" and the Velos (Titanium) 18 x 8" so many choices.

colours we have paprika red, candy white, shadow blue, silver essence, wheat beige, polar sea blue icelandic grey pearl effect and deep black pearl effect. Upholstery we have titanium black cloth, titanium black vienna leather corn silk beige vienna leather and deep red napa leather and eos individual titanium black/corn silk beige napa leather.

What do you think of going with the shadow blue metallic and the corn silk beige vienna leather. Being a female just over 40 !!!

Now what do I choose petrol or diesel engine ??? comments please

Optional extras. The Eos can be fitted with 12 way adjustment, lumbar support 18" alloy wheels sports suspension package and bi-xenon headlights with cornering lights. dynaudio 600 watt premium audio system with 10 loudspeakers. and last the satellite navigation system.

Some questions. Can you put side skirts on the EOS. As the EOS has just arrived in Australia, will they later do any good deals to bring more customers in to the showrooms ??? and out of ALL the extras above what are the most important to purchase. Thanks for your comments

:)

Nope, No chromatic paint :)
the most accurate pics are the ones where it actually looks island grey.

I still have them yes, (the huffs)
though it seems when they took them off the EOS that two of the wheels got little scratches in them. (i think the machine scratched them).

I havn't really thought about selling them since they got the scratch in them, they're just sitting in my Garage with nice treads with roughly 2500 miles on them.
