Still think you should enter your photos of your Eos in the Lake District in the ROTM Competition you would certainly have my vote there is a new comp running right now.

Prices on the new model seem to have rocketed in the past couple of years. At the time of the scrappage scheme the entry level 1.4 Eos could be had new for £19k, and the higher spec not much more than £25k max. Now they seem to have added 50% to the price.
The Golf looks nice, and I don't much like the new shape Eos. But as the Audi A3 never sold in great numbers, I thought VW would continue their support of the Eos. But bringing back the Golf is a good move for them, hardtop cabroilets aren't the most popular of cars now.
Enjoy your Golf, hope you enjoy it as much as the Eos.

It don't look to good for the EOS in UK dealers' they have been told to push the new golfs and for what you get for your money on the new cabriolet as compared the EOS they just don't compare eg. my golf came with dual climate, MF steering wheel inc paddle shift gear change, DAB radio and Blue tooth Ipod hook up Wind deflector and bag, Auto H/Lamps, wipers and interior mirror Half leather interior and the only opional extra I had was metallic paint all for under £27,500.If you could buy a new Eos with that spec it would be well over£35k

Hi lateBar got £10250 as part x against a brand new golf GT Cabriolet. Could not afford a new EOS and they are only building new ones to order so there is a very long wait for one. Hoping that things will change in two years time I can replace the golf with a new EOS. Cheers Mick.

    Hi,
You have a different car and a different problem to mine. Mine is a gear crunch going into 2nd, nothing to do with clutch judder.
Best thing I can suggest is demonstrate it to them, to someone who can make the decision regarding the repair. I took the garage owner out in my car, showed him and then got him to drive it himself. They're going to rebuild the gear box.
    Good luck!

    Hi Latebar,
Hope you don't mind me contacting you through the forum ! I have a 56 plate EOS purchased in April from Medway VW it has a not dis-similar fault to yours. The clutch judders when it hits the bite from pulling off in first gear.
I'm having a bit of a tough time with my dealer in that they don't seem to be replying to me !
I'm assuming you still have the vehicle ? If not and you have since traded it in did it begin with the reg RA56 ?
    Thanks,
    Adrian
