Hi, I just realized I will only get an email notification of a PM if I set that option up in my profile. Duh. Perhaps PM to voxmagna2 which I've now got working.

Hi, You may have noticed I've been 'dark' for a few weeks.

I started receiving a few nags to change my password which I ignored at the time. I have been busy and I register data in my profile which isn't going to affect me too much if it gets stolen. I tried to login using my voxmagna username and got the message screen to request a new password. I forgot which email address I originally registered with and after trying a few aliases, got nowhere and gave up. I couldn't send a message to admins as I couldn't log in. I tried messaging webmaster without logging in and got no reply. So, old password not working (deleted) and not sure what email I used.

Do you know how to get an Admin or Moderator to send a private message to my original username voxmagna using the corresponding email address from that profile? Once I know the email address I can restore my password.

    Regards - Vox

Hi, yes I have been getting multiple PMs so I don't know what's causing it. I don't think the site Admins are in the real world!

Have a look here, not only do they have a thriving diagnostics section with many vcds scans posted and shared, but they get some sponsorship money from Ross-Tech! They seem to know how to keep a site running with sponsorship contributing towards costs.

Oh well, it looks like I shall be using my VWVortex membership a bit more on EOS technical issues in future.

Hi, Just a suggestion but could we have a new section in Technical called Diagnostics? It is in a class of its own compared to conventional fault fixing. Any members contributing will probably want to share vcds scans which mean everything to those who work with diagnostics, but clutter to a section with other technical content. Getting scans posted from our EOSs would help anybody who has 'lost' a module code adaptation to see what other vehicles have. It also re-reinforces my view that you cannot start most fault finding jobs or answer questions without a diagnostics scan.

Hi Silvershadow,i keep hearing things about manual closing of the Eos, I have a 2006 FSI sport 200bhp with only 28k on the clock. I cannot find anything i.n the car book regarding this issue, I await your answer because you seem to know the most on this Forum. Kind regards. Rick.

    Silvershadow.

Hi. If you could provide a few contacts/list - it would be much appreciated. We can do a trial with a tech savvy member.

    Thanks

    Hi,

I do not have any commercial interest other than my local knowledge of heavy law enforcement with regard to the use of mobile phones by drivers and the onerous financial and demerit penalties that apply if caught.

I believe there could be a market for your product in Australia if you sell through the internet at your USD prices [the current USD/AUD conversion is close to 1:1]. The important first step would be to advertise your product in the right media to reach the target market, make some sales then word-of-mouth will do the rest. I can provide a suggested list if you are interested.

I would suggest you might offer a trial unit to one of our tech-savvy Australian members to test before you proceed further - I am not the best person to do this as I am a mobile phone troglodyte with a 10 year old basic phone and too many demands on my time to get involved with the modern phones and social media.

    Regards silvershadow

Hi a few weeks ago you were commenting on the above product and possble promotion.

Do you a personal or commercial interest in this technology - we have a new standalone commercial technology that can be used on modern phones android, blackberry and iPhone. It doesn't have to be plugged into OBD.

Would this be of interest you.

Please let me know - you can contact via this site or on 0406 951592.

    Regards,
