MDI Adapter- 3.5mm Jack
I have a 2009 Eos Komfort. In my center arm rest console I have a MDI dock for an ipod like the image attached. I decided to get a MDI Adapter- 3.5mm Jack like this one:
And I didn't think about it at the time, but I can't get the adapter to go down into the console far enough to connect it. I mean I could have the wrong adapter (I guess I need genuine VW part?), but even so how can I get it to connect? It such a tight space there. It is just not happening because I have the wrong cable?
What else can be done?

I'm not an Apple gadget user, but it sounds like you're having an issue with the right-angle plug getting in the way down in the docking area. I wonder if you could you use an extension to get it up higher? Perhaps something like this:
I've also seen iPod extension cables, too.
In our '09 Eos I ditched the iPod docking station entirely (it was an "option", but they put in every U.S. Eos back then), and installed a proper aux-in jack for hooking up MP3 players.

This is the one that came with my 2015 Eos when I purchased it...
It would work with my 3rd generation Nano, however I prefer to use my iPhone 6 as it charges it as the port is also a charger. So I went on eBay for the more current version that fits the lightning adapter.
Hope this helps...
