Exclamation DSG Oil Change 40K miles

Dear All,

Just had the 40K Mile DSG oil and filter change at VW Dealership for 179 which I thought wasn't bad considering it took them 6 hours.

What I have noticed however is since the change my car doesn't seem to accelerate in the same way it did before when kicking down in the "drive" position.
Before the change I would feel quite a firm push back into the seat, which put a smile on my face.
Now all I feel is a very progressive aceleration which seems to get there but without the oomph, and no smile on my face.

I think I will have to do some controlled tests and try it in "S mode" to find out more; but in the meantime has anyone else experienced this or similar???

I did the transmission service on the used 2008 Eos that I purchased with no service history at 93,000 mi and I do not notice any change in shifting characteristics. Are you noticing different shift points or lack of a down shift when you accelerate hard.

Is the downshift when you 'stomp' on it a mechanical or linkage adjustment?

Hi mark I have done many a DSG service and gearbox adaptations using VCDS after every service. It should adapt to your driving style after ten miles and it only takes about an hour to do the service.
