I am working on my wife's 2012 Komfort replacing the waterpump. I know that removing the intake manifold would make it much easier but can I do that without releasing the pressure from the fuel system or removing the injectors from the block?
Thanks,
Curious in the garage
There is usually a schraeder (sp?) valve on the fuel rail (like your tire's valve stem) that you can use to release the fuel pressure. Put a shop rag over it to soak up the fuel spray that comes out. It is still under pressure, but it quickly dissipates as there is a low amount of volume. And obviously do this with the engine off/battery disconnected.
