Question What is 'DRL' on the speedometer area of the dash mean?

We have a 2007 Eos 2.oT hardtop conv... what does the 'DRL' signify on the speedometer portion of the digital display?

DRL = daytime running lights
You'll notice when the headlights go on, the DRL message goes out.
