    Hi David

It took an absolute age to download your file lol, I am only hazarding a guess here as without driving your car it will only be a guess, option 1. could be worn transmission dog bone bush (located near trans tunnel,) option 2. anti roll bar links worn. Dog bone noise usually worst when engine moves fore and aft ie. taking up drive. Antiroll bar links tend to be worse over uneven roads. If I where you I would drop it down to a garage that you trust and let them diagnose the noise on road test IMHO.

    Hi Mick,

I hope you can help me, I have a knocking noise coming from the front end about the beginning of the transmission tunnel which is now driving me nuts. I know mystery unwanted noises are a PIA to diagnose especially doing it remotely. I have made a recording using my phone as best I could and created a link.

If you can spare a moment to have a listen it would be most appreciated.

    Thanks and Best Wishes

I took early retirement/voluntary redundancy in 2013 when I was 63 and it was the best move I ever made. Like many others in my situation we wonder how we found the time to do a full time job. The Government keeps changing the goalposts but in the meantime get as many "senior" concessions as you can.

No problem David, still we did give it a try and better we found out now than later.

    All the best.

    Seat Switches

Upon further investigation, I have determined that two of the 3 switches will not fit my Eos.

The round lumbar control switch is the same but the other two are just different enough to make fitting impossible.

The differences on the latter 2 switches is extremely slight but just enough to make them useless for me.

Leave it up to VW for another screwup. I think they change suppliers in mid stream just to keep their cars a Service Manager's nightmare.

Again, sorry for the bad news. Like you said before, perhaps you can find someone from another country with LHD to make the group buy with you.

    Thanks Mick.

Sorry that I didn't notice this message until tonight.

Actually, I was recuperating from a hernia operation during my birthday but happily, it is over and all is well again. Good grief, these things hurt.

    Thanks again for noticing.
