I wouldn't try to lubricate ANYTHING on the Eos with DW-40. It is a very runny (non-viscous) oil and I doubt it will do your pump motor (or any other part of your car) any favors.

To the OP, I would recommend investing in VCDS. It's expensive, but so was your Eos when new.
