Canít say Iíve heard of an EOS fuse issue but on the Mk1 Tiguan there was an issue and the cure was a gold plated fuse to prevent over heating.

For me it would be the 2011 as I prefer the later electronics as they are easier to modify with vcds, also it will have the later TDI engine and later roof seals, the early DSG had mechatronic issues...
