Default Which part to replace when headrest covers won’t stay on?

I’m having a problem with my headrest covers coming off while the top is down. It has happened on both sides. Apparently there is a larger piece that extends across the back that each headrest cover is supposed to clip onto, and the part that is clipped onto (not the clip or cover itself) is broken. Does anyone know what part number or name this is and how difficult it is to replace?

Have you spoken to your VW dealer about this issue?

The rear seat head restraint covers are all part of the expensive color matched rear seat assembly with integral rollover protection. I don't think the covers are available as parts?

I would look at how the cover fits and try to repair or copy their fitting, but remember the cover is supposed to easily fly off in an accident rollover situation when the rollover bars shoot up. I have always avoided removing my covers, in case I break their fasteners.
