Default Replacing center console armrest leather

I read a lot on this forum and searched before opening this thread, but I haven't found that anyone mentioned or described replacement procedure of leather on armrest between front two seats.

On my 2006 Eos leather became yellow and porous, so I want to replace it.

I ordered this:

Has anyone tried something similar? I'm afraid that this could be a messy job of tearing the old one and gluing the new one. I'm open for suggestions and advices.

You may need to take it to a car interior upholstery shop if you do not want to tackle it yourself. There are a few YouTube videos on this sort of thing.

The cover is vinyl not leather. There is very little leather with the leather interior. Gear stick boot, door skins, sides and backs of seats. Head Rests are all vinyl so when cleaning use a vinyl cleaner on those parts.

At least in the states there are some companies that specialize in vinyl repair with some of the work being done on cars. I tend to think that would be your best shot.

I did it myself. The vinyl I ordered was perfect fit for putting it over the existing one.
I clamped it on the inside, making sure everything is nice and tight. I did not use any glue as many youtube tutorials suggest (we'll see if it will stretch or fold over time).
I ran out of staples, so it's not a tidy job underneath, but it will hold.

Disassembly and assembly of the armrest are quite easy. You have to remove plastic cover underneath it, remove 4 torx screws and with a little fiddling it pops out.

I'm attaching some pictures.
