I installed this unit and love it. It's great.

Don't be fooled by the "pulled from new VW in China" story, if its a Desay its a Chinese knock off. I bought one six months ago, was a straight plug and play and works perfectly with all the steering wheel buttons. I am very happy with it.

More like "pulled from the factory before it made it into a VW in China". I believe this model of head unit is installed in VWs in China, but the back story's not right. Why would there be so many people pulling head units out of new cars?
