I have a 2008 Volkswagen Eos, and I recently encountered a problem with the power driver seat. I used the electric switch to recline the back of the seat all the way forward (don't ask why 😂), and it got stuck in that position. All of the other functions work, except the back reclining.
I have recently bought an EOS and got the dreaded ‘convertible top to workshop message’. Diagnostics came back as an open circuit on the hydraulic roof unit. Very grateful to VoxMag for his great posts on removing the case:
