Well wasn't the Eos out in Germany a year before the UK, so more time to gather support I suppose. Also it was a Europe wide gathering.
Pretty cool though, you'd have a job remembering where you parked your car.

Keep in mind that its scarcity in the UK at least and in the US (I think) keeps it quite unique and I like that. If they become as common as Astras or Focus its time to part company. Still it is great to see so many together.

No - although the Eos was shown at the Frankfurt Show in October 05 it didn't actually go on to the German market until March/April 06. First cars were delivered to UK customers 14/07/06 (mine!)

EOS GTG 2008 in Fuldatal near Kassel (GER)

at the weekend 7th / 8Th June 2008 we schedule the 3rd international Volkwagen EOS GTG.
This year we had attendees from netherlands and belgium.
We would be happy to welcome some members of this forum in 2008.
Right now we have booked hotel rooms in Kassel, so you might arrive at friday/saturday to take part at our meeting.

I'm not surprised they got so many turn up to the meet. The Eos over here is becoming a fimiliar sight on the road. I see at least 4 every morning in the 10km run from my house to my daughters kindergarten. Does this make them any less special? I don't think so, as you spot lots of people still looking at them with the 'what's that?' look on their faces. It's strange that a car that is quite popular (in this area anyway!) is still not instantly recognisable by the general population. Lack of advertising perhaps? I must admit I have never seen an advertisment for the car. Billboard or tv. I'm going to debadge ours when it arrives to keep a little air of mystery about it.

I'm expecting a phonecall today or tommorow from my dealer so I can go in and take pics of our car still all wrapped up before they get her ready for the road. Will post the pics when I get them.
