2008 Australia EOS Changes

Hi there,
I thought Id share this with you guys - my dealer sent it to me.

How cool is 1 of the features on offer with the 2008 Eos...auto dipping side mirror - no more scraping your alloys on the curb! Nice!! Not new technology I know, but a nice addition on it.

Its in black & white I know, but who cares about the pretty color pics of the seats...

Hmmm... I wonder how a 16" spare wheel will go with 3 18" wheels. I'm surprised they didnt fit a 17" instead..

Yep - if you got 'em, theyre a great little feature!
Even better on a Merc! Nice!!

I think with the Eos reverse PDC's they come with... how could we possibly go wrong?

It's been a looooooong 32 weeks!!

Finally picked up our, my wifes' really, I'm just the chaffeur, EOS 4 hours ago and unfortunately have had no time to check it out adequately, configure anything, nor take photos before the sun set.
The dipping reverse mirror on the passenger side tilts downward, to a position that you can set, when reverse gear is engaged and returns to its normal position when you drive off; again not enough time to really check it out.

DaveyW, in response to another of your posts, the central locking menu on the MFD has 3 options that can be set:
Single door unlocking: only drivers door is unlocked when remote button is pressed
Auto Lock: doors and boot lock when speed exceeds 15kph.
Auto Unlock: doors and boot unlock when key is removed from ignition.

Hopefully the sun will be shining in Adelaide tomorrow and I'll be able to take some photos of our EOS (car) with our EOS (camera)!

Hi Guys, thought I'd let you know, just been informed my EOS is off the production line and awaiting a date for delivery ! Informed the sales rep. about the dipping reverse mirror's that you already have over there and he said he would check out this web site as I seemed to know more about the car that he does !!!

This forum is really informative & filled with info I never knew about the Eos.

Ive been able to contact my dealer about things clearly they werent properly informed about (the 18" Samarkand wheels & suspension a great example Sydeos & others explained to me) & I cant help agree with you SKIDOO... its seems that the customer knows more about the product than the VW dealers do!

It seems these dipping mirrors are creating quite a stir!!
