Volkswagen revealed the technical changes in the 2008 Volkswagen EOS. Both the Passat & the new EOS gets new trim level names:
Turbo, Komfort, Lux, and VR6.
The new EOS also gets a Winter starting assist mode, standard on the VR6.
2008 Changes / Specifications:
- New trim level naming, Turbo, Komfort, Lux, and VR6
- Leatherette is now named V-Tex
- Lux package is only available with automatic transmission
- Winter starting assist mode is standard on the VR6
- New 17” alloy wheel on Lux package
- New 18” alloy wheel on VR6 package
- No more Wheat Beige option
- Rear Park Distance Control included on Lux and VR6 packages
- Chrome front grille louvers included on VR6
- Power 12-way driver seat now standard equipment (nice!)
- Leather steering wheel now standard equipment
- Leather shift knob now standard equipment
- Leather parking brake handle now standard equipment
- Windblocker now standard equipment
- Ambient lighting deleted on Turbo (lame!)
- Micritech interior trim now included in Turbo
- Center sliding armrest now standard equipment
- Heated front seats now optional on Turbo
- 17” alloy wheel optional on Komfort package (so 16" are standard?)
Looks like they added all the bells and whistles the first time around on the 2007 models and are making adjustments in 2008 to maximize profits
