I think the picture makes it look like an old VW astra softop from the rear unfortunately.

I'm surprised they say the A3 is pitched against "its arch-rival the BMW 3-Series". I would have thought the 3-Series' rival is the A4 and the A3's rival is the 1-series. But what would I know?!

no contest anyway as all A3's are dreadful to ride in
looked into buying one recently and its like driving a skateboard especially in sport trim, every rep i spoke to agreed and said eos was a much smoother ride
i am seriously perplexed at how many are out there
the A4 is a much better ride and priced almost the same, proving how overpriced the A3 is

Must admit that was my main reason for wanting a hard top rather than a soft top as well. The other being that I would be able to see out the rear window.

Looks like a very ugly cousin to me. 
Our local paper has an advert for a Ford Focus Cabrio, it looks (from the photos) to be a direct rip-off of the Eos, apart from the Focus face. Unfortunately it is a Motability advert, I'd like to see them get a wheelchair in the boot of that car; can't see it unless they have done without the spare wheel.

Saw a Focus Cabrio at a dealer the other day - it looks OK till you walk around to the back . . . awful.
The A3 Cabrio is badge engineering, there are people who belive Audi are good cars and would not touch VW/SEAT/Skoda even though they have the same components/systems and can come off the same lines. If they want to be stupid Audi will take their money! The only Audi's we owned were A2s and they are unique!

...and me too! COlleague of mine had her ragtop C70 slashed over Christmas - plod said it 'didn't happen very often'.....and of course you can break into any car with a brick.....but all the same!!!!!!!
