My drivers side door was accidentally dinged on an especially windy, nasty day (love these Chicago-area winters...).

Took the car to the auto body shop the dealer recommended - $150 to fix! Said they'd need the car all day and would need to take the door panel off to reach both sides of the dent.

Now I just need to figure out which day I can go without my car...

they are going to be doing something us in the industry call P.D.R. but it shouldnt take all day to do it. that sounds like trouble. they could easily do it in about an hour or two. of course i know of a way to do it in about 15 minutesand ill only charge $50 to do it!!

And I agree...most "paintless dent removal" type mechanics can probably fix it in less than an hour.

I shouldn't complain, the party responsible was very gracious about the whole thing and offered to pay for the repair. And, if takes one hour and they keep it for eight, that's fine too. They probably don't need me hanging around with my face pressed up against the glass of the repair shop window like a nervous mother.

I won't be completely stranded, I can always borrow my husband's Trailblazer. But it's not my baby. It doesn't even have heated seats!!

U poor thing, I remember scraping my alloys for the first time, I wanted to cry. I have few things needing doing at the garage, but like u can be apart from my Eos, so avoiding it !
